1. Division of explosive atmospheric hazard areas

Different countries and regions, according to their own standards divide the explosive hazard area. China according to the frequency and duration of explosive gas mixtures, the explosive gas environment is divided into O, 1 and 2 zones. (with IEC Electrotechnical Commission *)

Zone 0: continuous occurrence or * occurrence of explosive gas mixtures in the environment.

Zone 1: An environment in which explosive gas mixtures may occur during normal operation.

Zone 2: An environment where explosive gas mixtures are unlikely to occur during normal operation or where explosive gas mixtures, if present, are only present for a short period of time.

Zone 0 generally exists only in sealed containers, storage tanks and other internal gas space, in the actual design process Zone 1 is rarely present, and most cases belong to Zone 2.
